Long Text

The long text field type allows you to input string characters and numbers and can go beyond a single line to form paragraphs (unlike the short text field type). The long text field allows you to edit characters as you would in a normal text editor. Here, you can bold, underline and even write in a code format.

With the long text, you can draft out reports, articles and instructional materials in a written form for your team right on the board.

Creating the Long text field

• To create long text as a new field, click on "Create new fields" on the board page.

• However, if you are adding a new field to a board with pre-existing fields, click on the + sign

• This pops up a form where you can input the field name, description, and more.

• For the type, select "Long text"

• Then input characters into hint, place holder to make you identify or remember specific things about the field you want to create.

• Select the minimum and maximum characters you want the long test field to take in.

• Check any of the subsequent boxes to specify the way the field should look on the Quabbly board

• Then click on the "Submit" button to add the field to the board
