Short Text

Short text: This field type allows you to input text (string characters and numbers) to your board only on a single line. However, with the short text, you have various properties which can transform inputted text. They are;

1. Capitalize your text at the first character

2. Capitalize all words

3. Convert words written to lowercase

4. Convert words to uppercase

Creating a Short text field

• If you are assigning short text as a new field, click on Create New Field(s) on the board page.

• However, if you are adding a new field to a board with pre-existing fields, click on the + sign.

The Plus sign

• This pops up a form where you input the field name, description, and more.

• On the form, type or select "Short text".

• Choose any of the transform properties you would like

• You can also input a hint to help remember a specific value.

• Add a placeholder to your input field

• Then specify the number of minimum and maximum characters for your board.

• Check any of the boxes to specify the characteristics of short text on the board

• Then click on the "Submit" button to push to the board.
