Number

The number field is generally designed to hold numbers. For example, number value describing the total amount of items (like chairs, beverage) in a special category.

Your number fields should used on a board where numbers will be referenced to for computation and visualization.

A special field known as the formula field does reference to the Number field to display values with after arithmetic operations.

And while you may want to input numbers using the number field, it isn't suitable to store arbitrarily large values in this field. Such arbitrarily large values include account numbers that can be stored on a short text field.

There are other field types like Distance, Short text, Money field that takes in number values.

You may want to store number values designated in km using the distance field type and amount of money on the Money field type.

You can set Number field to take in negative numbers.

Customizing Number fields

There are specific ways you can customize the nuimber fields.

1. Set a decimal sign

3. Choose a minimum and maximum

Adding Number Field to Board

1. To create or add the Time field to your board, tap on create new field for a newly created board.

2. For a pre-existing board, click on the + sign that display to the right of the last field you create.

3. Either of the two options 1, 2 pops up a form where you input the field name, description.

4. On the form type, select Number to display a several form inputs.

5. Once you select date field type, it displays additional inputs like placeholder and hint.

6. Then enter the minimum and maximum value to display on the board.

7. Mark the subsequent Checkboxes to illustrate how you want the field to appear and behave on your board.
